WELCOME TO THE
Our mission is to serve God with love by our:
"Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise" - 1 Chronicles 16:23-25
We worship the Living God with everything we can! He is our Rock and our firm foundation. He is worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. We worship with a mix of contemporary and traditional songs that all seek to point us toward Christ in Worship
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect" - 1 Peter 3:15
Here at Hillside, It is our desire NOT to keep hidden the amazing Love that Christ has shown us through his sacrifice on the cross. We want to show the entire community around us that Christ's Love is more than enough to heal, restore, and secure us.
“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” - Luke 9:23
Jesus has called us to follow him. This means that our whole lives are to be used to seek after a relationship with Him. At Hillside, we grow in discipleship in many ways such as Sunday Morning Worship, Small Groups, and Serving the community
A relationship with Christ is not a passive endeavor. It is full of actions including serving. Our desire is to be the hands and feet of Christ in this community by helping in what ever way the Lord has lead us.
Hillside Wesleyan Church began in the 1950's as just a group of believers seeking the Lord for guidance on how to best love their community. The Lord lead them to a garbage landfill where they envisioned a church in place of this dump. Upon buying the dump, they began to clear the garbage dump. They poured their blood, sweat, and tears to see the Lord move in powerful ways in that place.
Today that church remains a beautiful example of what the Lord can do with what the world says is trash. While it may look like an Old Gothic Church, It is actually a Thriving Church full of life and Love for the Lord and Others.
THE CHURCH ON THE HILLSIDE
Hillside was built as a testimony to the way God can take dirty, broken, and run-down things and make them new. Swipe thru our 360 degree shots of our church building to get an idea of what you will be walking into!
